Anyone (at least here in the U.S.) interested in the cause of liberty should be reading the agitator blog. Radley Balko does excellent work, and has exposed many injustices. I have been reading his blog for some time now and believe he deserves the support of all libertarians.

there ought to be a law

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

Every time someone sees an injustice they think there ought to be a law, but every time they get that law we all become a little less free. there is no easy solution to this problem but a good start would be the READ THE BILLS ACT. Congress passes laws regularly without even reading them. Their excuse is the laws are too long and they don’t have time to read them all,but they want us to live by these laws.If a law is so long they can’t be bothered to read I can’t be bothers with obeying it.I urge everyone to support the read the bills act.

This is a perfect example of why people no longer trust the police. Obviously the government wants mindless obedience so they won’t question orders. God forbid that they actually be smart enough to think for themselves, because if they stop to think about it they might realize many of the arrests they make don’t make for a safer world. How can a smart cop listen to his conscience, and still arrest people for doing things that harm no one.
